I Hear Taiwan Singing

I hear Taiwan singing a song of
Old memories, sad and cold.
It’s an elegy of history of
The orphan of Asia.

How far apart from the homeland,
How heartbreaking the forefathers,
Singing song of
Seeking a more beautiful hometown.

Telling stories of pains and tears,
Building homes of hope and love,
Taiwan is singing
An elegy introducing a new age,
Ending sad and cold memories.
